Arkhaus Villa 50 Debuts: A $975K Floating Residence Designed for Life on the Water
The 50’ floating platform with sleek Italian Pininfarina design redefines life on the water.
At this month’s Miami International Boat Show, Arkhaus will unveil its latest concept, marking the next evolution of its vision for architecture-living on the water. Presented inside the Ferretti Group exhibition at the Miami Beach Yacht Collection, the launch will offer a glimpse into Arkhaus’ expanding ecosystem—a network of floating clubs, resorts, and private residences designed to blur the lines between yachting, real estate, and hospitality.
The membership-based floating club, founded in Miami in 2021, acquired Arkup, the company known for its electric-powered liveable vessels, in the summer of 2025. Rebranded as The Ark Companies: Arkhaus, E-Lixr, and Arkup, the startups are now working together to drive maritime innovation and a zero-emission future.
A Generation Of Floating Living
Described by Arkhaus as “real architecture on the water,” the Villa 50 represents the second generation of the Arkup platform. Measuring 50’ (15m), the vessel sits between an electric yacht and an upscale waterfront residence.
Designed as solid, spacious, and highly liveable platforms, the Villa 50 is engineered to feel “almost land-like”. Hydraulic spuds lift the vessel out of the water, enhancing stability. Layouts range from one to two bedroom configurations, allowing the Villa 50 to function as a private residence, family retreat, guesthouse, creative studio, or boutique hospitality venue. Commercial applications, including restaurants or members’ club spaces, are also part of the concept’s flexibility.
Built For Off-Grid Possibilities
Construction of the Villa 50 will be handled by respected American boatyard Lyman-Morse. The platform features twin 50kW electric thrusters, a 126kWh battery system, and solar panels capable of generating up to 12kW to power onboard systems.
The result is a vessel capable of operating off-grid, supporting the company’s ambition to offer self-sufficient living environments that minimize environmental impact without compromising comfort.

Italian Design Flair
One of the Villa 50’s defining features is the new interior concept developed by Pininfarina—the Italian design house known for its work in yachting, including projects with Princess, Oceanco, and Rossinavi, as well as work outside of yachting across hypercars, world-class product brands, and design.
The interiors are characterized by lightness, comfort, and distinctive design signatures. Expansive use of glass enhances the connection between inside and out, flooding spaces with natural light and providing uninterrupted views. Sleek lines and minimalist furnishings highlight a calm, contemporary aesthetic.
Paolo Trevisan, Senior Vice President of Design of Pininfarina of America, notes: “Villa 50 suggests a new way of living; an alternative residential model capable of expanding into a modular, floating community where nautical design and architecture merge into a people-centered experience.”
