First Look: Azimut’s Fly 82 and the Future of Flybridge Yachts
New features for Azimut’s Fly Series, including softer interiors, Deck2Deck terrace, and new tech.
Italian shipyard Azimut revealed its new flagship Fly 82 at this week’s boot Düsseldorf yacht show, following its initial announcement at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival.
The 81-foot (25m) Fly 82 is the newest addition to Azimut’s Fly Series and combines Alberto Mancini exteriors with Fabio Fantolino’s interiors. Aimed at owners seeking waterline living combined with flybridge comfort, the model brings a range of new design innovations and features.

A Yacht In Motion
The Fly 82’s exterior profile—courtesy of Mancini—is instantly recognizable, with sharply defined lines and dynamic surfaces that give the yacht a sense of movement. Described by the yard as “shaped by the wind,” it is intended to reflect speed and fluidity even when stationary.
Soft, Elegant Interiors
Inside, the interior collaboration with Fantolino marks his third collaboration on Azimut’s Fly Series; his vision results in what the yard calls a “refined play of contrasts,” combining soft, elegant surfaces with bold contemporary details.
A new orange-brown accent colour runs throughout, bringing warmth to the color palette, and the floor-to-ceiling glazing floods the yacht with natural light. According to the yard, the interiors are a result that feels modern and inviting, designed for relaxed, barefoot luxury.

Spaces Designed For Living
The philosophy of the yacht’s living spaces is based upon “generous volumes, airy spaces, and breathtaking views.” The Fly 82’s main deck is arranged as a social hub, focused around a large dining table in the bright and airy main saloon, as well as providing sea views and lounging furniture for relaxation and socializing.
This theme of connection with the outdoors continues throughout the three decks. Below deck, accommodation on board is spread across four cabins to host eight guests, including a full-beam owner’s suite.
Closer To The Water
As a Fly model, open-air living is central to the design, and this is the first yacht in the series to feature Azimut’s Deck2Deck terrace system. Initially developed for the Grande 26M model in 2023, the system transforms the stern into a social terrace, with an opening transom that expands the beach club area.
This feature was intended to bring owners and guests closer to the water, ideal for swimming, watersports, and a wet bar for relaxing at anchor.

New, Smart Technology
The yacht is powered by three Volvo Penta engines, with a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots. The Fly 82 also offers an IPS propulsion system option that is said to reduce CO2 emissions by 20-30%.
On the technology front, the yacht is also equipped with WATCHIT Eye—an AI-based collision-avoidance system that scans the environment to enhance safety at sea.
The Fly 82 is now Azimut’s new flagship in its Fly range (spanning from 50 to 81 feet) blending lifestyle-led living and a “sea-immersive experience” with Azimut’s signature styles and smart technology.
