Celebrity Superyachts: Who Owns Them and How Much They Cost

From top athletes to A-list actors, these celebrity-owned superyachts are as jaw-dropping as their price tags. See who’s sailing in serious style—and what it costs to cruise like the rich and famous.

Dreaming of owning a superyacht so you can sail some of the world’s most breathtaking coastal destinations? While many of the rich and famous like to enjoy luxurious yacht charter getaways, some celebrities have their very own superyachts.

Beyond tech titans like Jeff Bezos and Bill Gates, there are well-known actors, directors, singers, authors, athletes, and other celebrities who have used their millions to purchase a superyacht, ensuring an escape that offers both privacy and exclusivity. With everything from helicopter pads and cinemas to kitchens designed for talented chefs, these vessels are the must-have toy for those who can afford them.

David & Victoria Beckham

One of the most famous power couples, football (soccer) legend David Beckham and his “Spice Girl” wife Victoria, own Seven, a superyacht named after his iconic jersey number, which also happens to be his favorite number and the middle name of their daughter Harper. The Riva Argo 90 was purchased in December 2021 from the Italian luxury yacht manufacturer Ferretti for $6.6 million, a drop in the bucket for a couple with a combined net worth of nearly $671 million.

The former professional footballer reportedly visited the shipyard in Italy to carefully select the features for the yacht, which accommodates up to 10 guests in five staterooms. Today, after some upgrades, the Beckhams’ yacht is said to be worth nearly $21.5 million. The crown jewel may be the seating atop a pedestal that offers spectacular views over the bow while creating the sensation that you’re flying through the air, at least when she’s at her top speed of 25 knots (about 28.7 mph). But with the Beckhams adding a Jacuzzi, it now has another perfect vantage point for enjoying the views and a relaxing soak.

Steven Spielberg

Oscar-winning director Steven Spielberg’s 1975 hit, “Jaws,” was the first major motion picture shot on the ocean, and one of its most memorable lines was, “You’re going to need a bigger boat.” It seems Spielberg finally decided to take that advice in 2022 when he purchased his 86-meter Seven Seas superyacht, built by Oceanco and delivered in July of 2023. He was said to have played a key role in its design, with the luxurious masterpiece coming at the cost of a cool $250 million.

The yacht was named for his seven children and includes seven lavish staterooms accommodating up to 14 guests, with a dedicated crew of 30 that can attend to all their needs. It has a helipad, a full-size movie theater, a gym, a spa, a pool, and a beach club.

Bono & The Edge

U2 frontman Bono and his bandmate The Edge reportedly co-own the superyacht Cyan, which is sometimes available for charter at a price tag of $200K per week. It’s said to have been purchased in 2008 for £16 million, worth over £26 million today, or nearly $35 million. It can accommodate a dozen guests in six cabins and includes a wealth of high-end amenities. There’s a baby grand piano, state-of-the-art entertainment systems, an outdoor theater with more than 1,500 films for watching movies under the stars, and all sorts of water toys, from wakeboards and waverunners. It even has its own Phantom 3 drone to capture all the fun on the water.

JK Rowling

JK Rowling’s 290-foot Samsara is a superyacht that’s been turning heads with its grandeur, despite the lack of “Harry Potter” features or any type of mystique that reflects the uniqueness of one of the world’s most famous authors. The name of the 2,914 GT luxury vessel comes from the Sanskrit word that means “world” or “wandering,” and it is jam-packed with lavish amenities. Like a home away from home but on the water, the opulent Samsara sleeps 12 guests plus the owner across seven cabins, with a master suite that’s particularly extravagant, opening to a huge deck and private Jacuzzi.

Samsara also has a beautiful circular swimming pool, a large beach club, water toys, a fully-equipped gym, and a massive yacht support vessel with a dive center and helicopter hangar. The cost? Only $150 million. If you’re interested in chartering it, Rowling will let you, for $1.2 million per week.

Tom Brady

One of the most widely recognized quarterbacks in NFL history, it’s no surprise that Tom Brady has a beautiful superyacht. Viva La Vida was priced at $7 million, which means it’s an upgrade over his previous vessel, the Wajer 55S. The name of the 77-foot yacht translates to “Live Life,” honoring his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen’s environmental organization. Brady managed to retain it in the divorce and has been seen cruising earlier this summer around Ibiza with A-list actors Dakota Johnson and Kate Hudson, while celebrating the birthday of film producer Mohamed Al Turki.

Viva La Vida is a Wajer 77, known for its striking exterior with flowing lines, elegance, and performance, providing a smooth ride. The interior is fit for NFL royalty with rich leather details and three luxurious cabins with space for up to nine guests plus generous crew quarters.

David Geffen

While some have assumed the Rising Sun belongs to Oprah Winfrey, with the famous talk show host recently pictured with friend Gayle King sailing on the vessel off the coast of Mallorca in Spain. But she was simply a guest on the superyacht, which actually belongs to David Geffen. The photos provided just a glimpse of the luxuries onboard that Geffen, who founded Asylum Records and Geffen Records among others while launching the careers of numerous iconic musicians, is said to have paid $200 million for in 2010.

Initially built for Larry Ellison in 2004, after the co-founder of the Oracle Corporation decided it was too big, today the nearly 453-foot yacht is said to be worth double that as one of the world’s largest, a masterpiece of design and engineering. Considering that Geffen is worth nearly $9 billion, he’s one of the few who could easily afford to pay the price for the vessel with its numerous high-end amenities. Some of the highlights include a helicopter landing pad, a wine cellar, a movie theater, and a spa, while accommodation is provided for up to 16 guests in eight cabins, plus 30 more for the crew of 45.

Conor McGregor

Controversial Irish MMA fighter and former UFC champion Conor McGregor has managed to amass a net worth of around $200 million, enough to allow him to purchase his treasured Lamborghini 63 yacht for about $3.6 million. The “63” represents the number of limited-edition Supercars of the Sea built as a collaboration between the Italian Sea Group’s Tecnomar shipyard and Lamborghini. In fact, it was custom-painted to match his Lamborghini cars.

McGregor is known for his penchant for flashy vehicles and buying luxury items in his lucky color, green, with his yacht specifically designed to live up to the standards set by Lamborghini’s storied supercars. Its color is called Verde Gea green, a custom color mirroring the Lamborghini Sian while aligning with his interests and brands like Proper No. 12 whiskey. If you’re interested in trying it out for yourself, the yacht is reportedly available for charter at around $340,000 per week (plus expenses).

Cristiano Ronaldo

One of the world’s most famous and wealthiest footballers, Cristiano Ronaldo’s net worth was recently estimated to be $1 billion. Between his record-breaking salary, endorsement deals with big brands like Nike, and various business ventures, the Portuguese player earns the big bucks that allowed him to celebrate winning his second consecutive Serie A title with Juventus by purchasing a luxury yacht from the Azimut-Benetti shipyards in Viareggio, Italy. The price tag for the 88-foot vessel was a cool $7.5 million in 2020, and Ronaldo has been frequently photographed on it ever since.

The Azimut Grande is basically a floating mansion, complete with a kitchen, a dining room, a lounge, and two relaxation areas. Plus, with five luxurious cabins and six bathrooms, there’s plenty of room for the athlete and his family, partner Georgina Rodriguez and five children.

Tiger Woods

One of the most famous golfers to ever hit the course, Tiger Woods paid an estimated $20 million for the aptly named Privacy, which doubles as his second home. While he may have named it for his dream of having more privacy, when it’s anchored in Florida, it’s typically surrounded by paparazzi who hope to catch him disembarking.

Purchased in 2004 at the peak of his career, Woods reportedly honeymooned on the superyacht not long after and often lives on it during his golf tours. The 155-foot vessel is designed for smaller groups, but the five staterooms are extra-spacious, ensuring comfort for every guest who can enjoy the eight-person hot tub, a movie theater with a high-tech setup, a diving station, a well-equipped gym, and even an elevator for easily moving between decks.

Jackie Chan

Legendary kung fu actor Jackie Chan purchased his yacht from Chinese Shipyard JinLong, which was designed by a Dutch firm, Mulder Design. The 152-foot yacht was commissioned in October 2017 and took two years to build before hitting the water. It features three decks, including a sundeck with a wet bar, a hot tub, and a helipad. Inside, the dark wood interior incorporates an open-patio design to bring in plenty of natural light, with four cabins accommodating eight guests. It includes a karaoke room, a sauna, a cinema, and a gym. Estimated to be worth $46 million, Chan has managed to keep its name a well-kept secret.
