What Lies Beneath: Inside the 111′ Lynx Yacht That Travels With Its Own Submarine
Adventures await above and below the waterline with the first YXT 34.
Dutch builder Lynx Yachts has introduced its flagship YXT 34, a 111’ (34m) explorer platform designed for owners who want to travel the world with complete autonomy. Proving that purpose can be dual-use, the owner of the first hull, currently under construction, is one who will use the yacht as a standalone cruiser with an overflowing expedition-tailored wishlist.
Bold, Daring Design
The exterior of the YXT 34 is strong, modern, and rugged, with a focus on maximizing usable space. It’s designed to stand apart from the resort-style profile that currently dominates the shadow yacht space. The main deck spans 145 square meters, offering adaptable areas that can be tailored to any owner’s desires—from lounging, entertaining, or expeditioning.
Most yachts today carry a whole host of toys and gadgets, but the YXT 34 goes a step further. Following this owner’s requests, the yacht’s layout will host a large under-deck submarine. Recessed and ready to go, the submarine is accompanied by a full-size 4×4 expedition vehicle on deck, along with larger-than-average tenders, multiple waterbikes, Jet Skis, and other expedition gear. All operations are handled via a dedicated crane system on deck to make it easy to deploy the toys wherever and whenever the yacht anchors.

A Shadow Yacht, But Make It Personal
The first hull’s owner, as described by the brand, is a “young, highly athletic individual” who has seemingly opted for a configuration focused on exploration. While the interior design remains under wraps, Lynx Yachts has confirmed a calm, refined aesthetic across three cabins.
For those considering the YXT 34 as a pure shadow yacht, the space allocated to cabins can be repurposed for additional storage or customized expedition facilities, making the platform uniquely flexible for a variety of adventures.
Delivery of the first YXT 34 hull is expected in early 2028. This isn’t a one-off commission for adventurous owners, it’s a platform that Lynx wants to replicate, adapt, and sell to a range of buyers. Smaller options of the YXT include the 20 and the 27.
