Space, Style And Speed: Mangusta’s Latest GranSport Model Turns Heads In Miami
The new GranSport 38 combines clever layout, refined flow and packs a punch.
First presented at the 2026 Miami International Boat Show last week (11-15 February), the latest addition to Mangusta’s GranSport range is an exciting addition to the performance-focused line.
A brand of the Overmarine Group, the Italian shipyard shared details of this new model, positioning it between its GranSport 34 and GranSport 45. The new 124’ (38m) GranSport 38 has been hailed for improving the series’ defining philosophy—combining sporty character with superyacht-level volume and comfort.
GranSport Series Glow Up
Joining sister models GranSport 34, 45, and 54, the 38 is designed to “take sportiness to the next level” while introducing notable gains in onboard space and versatility. The yacht follows the brand’s sport utility yacht concept, a hybrid platform combining high speeds with the spaciousness and comfort of a flybridge cruiser.
Built with a composite construction, the model delivers both speed and stability. While inside, interiors are by acclaimed designer Alberto Mancini and can be tailored to each owner’s aesthetic and functional preferences, highlighting Mangusta’s semi-custom approach.
A Unique Design For Space
One of the motor yacht’s defining innovations is its “dual asymmetrical configuration,” applied across both main and upper decks. Instead of traditional side walkways on each side, the design uses a single passageway per deck, freeing up additional volume and widening interior living spaces.
The result is an enlarged main-deck saloon, framed by floor-to-ceiling glazing that delivers views and floods the interiors with natural light. Above, the upper deck mirrors this layout, creating an expansive saloon with alfresco dining spaces that blur the boundary between indoor and outdoor living.

Lifestyle-Led Features
The GranSport 38 has been designed with cohesive lines to promote seamless movement and flow, with minimal structural interruptions and extensive use of glass. The onboard lifestyle-led experience is for up to 12 guests, with accommodation spread across five cabins.
Other highlights include a signature infinity pool located at the bow. There is also a two-level beach club for watersports and relaxation with side-opening terraces, alongside a side-access garage housing a tender and two Jet Skis. For views and an intimate lounging area, there is the sundeck crowning the yacht, or the “private lookout” as named by the shipyard.
Performance Credentials
Power comes from four Volvo Penta engines, integrated with two propulsion pods, creating a compact engine room and freeing up further usable interior space. The GranSport 38 can reach speeds of up to 20 knots with a cruising speed of 18 knots.
Ideally positioned between the smaller and larger models in Mangusta’s GranSport range, the new GranSport 38 offers a strong middle ground, with the agility of a performance yacht combined with the volume and lifestyle features of larger models.
