Tuscany’s New Superyacht Marina Begins Phased Opening in 2026
Planning a yacht charter in Italy? Marina Livorno, Tuscany's new superyacht hub, opens 2026 with 815 berths, sustainable facilities, and luxury services.
Europe’s fast-growing marina group D-Marin has once again expanded its footprint, this time in Italy, uncovering details of its newest project: Marina Livorno. The €20 million investment into this new superyacht marina at the historic Port of Livorno on Tuscany’s coastline is in response to the growing demand for high-quality marinas across the Western Mediterranean.
Phased Opening In A Strategic Location
Construction on the new superyacht marina began in September 2025 and is expected to open in phases throughout 2026, with full completion penciled for Autumn 2027. By February 2026, the first 150 berths will be operational, expanding to 336 berths by the end of the year. Upon completion, there will be a predicted 815 berths accommodating yachts from 49-262’ (15-80m).
Marina Livorno has been developed in collaboration with D-Marin and the Azimut Benetti group, benefiting from its proximity to the group’s shipyards. The new marina is an ideal hub for yacht owners looking for maintenance, refits, or a home berth.
The marina, which will join the group’s network of 26 marinas found across nine countries in the Mediterranean and Gulf regions, also sits at a prime location for itineraries through Tuscany and the Western Mediterranean—positioned to serve both private yachts and charter operations.
Designed For Sustainability
Florence-based architectural studio Archeao Associati has led the design, prioritising what the group says to be a low-impact, sustainable approach. Features include solar canopies, rainwater recovery systems, green walls, and landscaped boundaries, which enhance the marina’s integration with its surroundings.
D-Marin’s commitment to sustainability is part of its broader environmental agenda. The group holds an EcoVadis Gold Award for ESG performance, underlining its dedication to more responsible marina operations.

Luxury Amenities And Digital Services
Marina Livorno will offer a full suite of services for superyacht owners, including 24/7 security, concierge support, dining establishments, and retail outlets. D-Marin’s digital platform will enhance yachts’ stays with tools such as its newly developed app and the “Happy Berth Days” loyalty program, which offers complimentary seven-day stays.
Connecting With Community
Alongside the berths, Marina Livorno also aims to open its doors to the wider community, with plans showing various developments. The Bacino Piccolo area will be transformed into a water-facing public square. At the same time, Molo Mediceo will provide public docking, leisure facilities, and green spaces, making it a destination for both yacht visitors and residents.
If you have a Tuscan adventure on your list, want to cruise Italy’s coastline and islands, or head to Corsica this summer, Marina Livorno is a new luxury gateway offering sustainable, high-end marina facilities in the area.
