Visitors can connect with award-winning designers, world-renowned shipyards, and a wide network of suppliers and industry experts—gaining a true insider’s glimpse into the superyacht lifestyle and the opportunities it holds.

Here’s your guide to one of the world’s most iconic yacht shows, and everything you need to know before attending the Monaco Yacht Show in 2025.

When & Where

Founded in 1991, the Monaco Yacht Show has become a staple of the global yachting calendar. This year’s edition runs from 24 to 27 September in Port Hercules, marking a grand finale to the Mediterranean season. The show will feature more than 560 exhibitors, along with a record-breaking lineup of 120 superyachts and 60 tenders on display.

The four-day event opens exclusively to invited guests on Wednesday, before welcoming the public from Thursday through Saturday. Doors are open daily from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm, closing slightly earlier on the final day at 6:00 pm. Last year, nearly 30,000 visitors walked the docks of Monaco, and this year’s attendance is expected to be even higher.

Inside the Show

The Monaco Yacht Show is divided into dedicated sections, each highlighting a different facet of the yachting world. At the heart of it all is the Dockside area, home to the superyacht fleet and tenders. This is where you’ll find the newest yachts on the market—including the largest collection of vessels over 50 meters—available to buy or charter (with most viewings arranged by appointment). Among this year’s standouts are the world’s first hydrogen fuel cell superyacht, the 119-meter Feadship Breakthrough, and the 62-meter Simena from Ares Yachts, the largest sailing yacht making its global debut.

Also within the Dockside area, the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub at Quai Chiron is the go-to space for anyone exploring a new build or simply seeking inspiration. Here, visitors can sit in on presentations, panel discussions, and one-on-one conversations with the designers and innovators shaping the future of superyachts.

Over on Quai Antoine and Quai Jarlan, the Adventure Area adds a playful edge. This is where high-tech toys, submersibles, and luxury vehicles take center stage, perfect for thrill seekers looking to elevate their time at sea.

For hospitality and Sapphire pass holders, the Upper Deck Lounge—hosted by the Fairmont Monte-Carlo—offers a stylish retreat with refreshments, luxe amenities, and access to representatives from complementary luxury sectors including private aviation, fine art, and high-end real estate.

New this year is the Blue Wake programme, an initiative sponsored by Siemens Energy and supported by the Water Revolution Foundation. With a focus on sustainability, the showcase highlights cutting-edge advancements in propulsion systems, eco-friendly materials, and technologies designed to reduce the environmental footprint of yachting.

A Taste of Monaco

The Monaco Yacht Show is a fast-paced mix of meetings, tours, networking, and socializing, so with so much happening at once, it’s a welcome break to refuel properly throughout the day. Start your morning at Le Petit Café Robuchon, a sleek new outpost continuing the legacy of Michelin-starred chef Joël Robuchon. Located in Monaco’s newest neighborhood, Mareterra, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy freshly baked pastries and coffee before heading into the show.

Whether you have a lunch meeting or simply want to enjoy a leisurely dining experience to break up the tours, Monaco has plenty of restaurants to choose from. Head to the glamorous rooftop restaurant La Môme Monte-Carlo—where dishes range from caviar and lobster to Kobe beef—for a meal that perfectly punctuates the day. Just a stone’s throw from the show, Caffè Milano offers relaxed alfresco Italian dining overlooking the yachts.

At 6:30 pm, the show winds down for the evening, giving you a chance to enjoy Monaco’s fine dining and nightlife scene while reflecting on the day. For a Michelin-starred experience, book a table at Le Grill, located on the 8th floor of Hôtel de Paris, offering panoramic views and dishes full of Provençal flavors. Also within the same hotel is one of Monaco’s most renowned restaurants, Le Louis XV by Alain Ducasse, featuring menus inspired by the Riviera. For a bold, Latin American vibe, head to COYA Monte-Carlo and enjoy a culinary experience centered on Peruvian dishes and signature pisco-based cocktails.

Visitor Information

For admission to the show, several ticket options are available, with all passes sold exclusively online. A standard Visitor Pass, reserved for private visitors and professionals, is priced at €725 for one day, €1,230 for two days, and €1,950 for three days.

The first day of the show, Wednesday 24 September, is invitation-only and open to guests, exhibitors, and Sapphire Experience pass holders. The Sapphire Experience is the show’s VIP ticket, offering a premium program of exclusive benefits, private tours, and hospitality perks across all four days. For dedicated yacht buyers and charterers, the Discover Pass grants full access to every area of the show for the entire duration.

Boarding yachts is subject to approval by the exhibiting shipyards and brokers, with appointments typically arranged in advance.

Getting There & Around

Planning your visit to the Monaco Yacht Show is highly recommended. Depending on your goals, research the yachts and exhibitors you’d like to see in advance. The show also features a full schedule of events and seminars covering a wide range of industry topics.

While there is no official dress code, smart, stylish, and weather-appropriate clothing is advised. Comfortable slip-on shoes are also recommended, as they make boarding yachts easier.

As one of the most popular events on the global superyacht calendar, the principality—and its surrounding areas—fill up quickly. Hotels, restaurants, and transport options are often booked well in advance, so it’s essential to secure your accommodation and travel arrangements early.

Depending on your point of departure, there are several ways to access Monaco. The closest international airport is Nice Côte d’Azur, with transfers to Monaco available by road or helicopter.

If arriving by car, the best option is to park at Parking des Salines, located at the entrance to Monaco. Many streets have restricted access during the show, and parking fills up fast. Monaco is also easily reached by rail, with the train station in the Condamine district just steps from Port Hercules.

Once in Monaco, the best way to get around is on foot. The compact city is well connected by elevators and escalators, making it easy to reach different districts. Within the show itself, courtesy cars are available for Sapphire, Discover, and Yacht Owner pass holders. For all attendees, The Italian Sea Group provides an electric golf cart service, while Only Yacht operates shuttle boats between the docks.

Monaco Beyond the Show

If you find yourself with time to spare before or after the show, Monaco offers a whole host of highlights to check out. Wander through the picturesque Monaco-Ville old town and visit the Prince’s Palace, originally built as a fortress in 1215 and transformed into a royal residence. The ceremonial Changing of the Guard happens daily at 11:55 am. To experience golden-age glamour, take a guided tour of the famous Monte-Carlo Casino. For museums, the Oceanographic Museum is particularly special, housed in an impressive building overlooking the sea. Offering a peaceful retreat away from the show atmosphere, Monaco has a range of gardens to explore, including the Japanese Garden, providing a relaxing experience. For those extending their stay, Monaco is an excellent gateway to begin or end a yacht charter to explore the French Riviera and soak up the end of the Mediterranean season.

Conclusion

The Monaco Yacht Show 2025 promises four days of world-class yachts, the latest innovations, and a chic Riviera atmosphere within the backdrop of Port Hercules. Whether you attend the show with the aim to buy, build new, charter, or soak up the superyacht lifestyle, this year’s 34th edition offers the best insight into the best of the yachting industry.
