Monaco Yacht Show 2026: Inside the World’s Most Glamorous Superyacht Event

Whether you’re a boat enthusiast, an investor, or looking for your next luxurious charter, the 2026 Monaco Yacht Show is the place to be.

Monaco is one of the world’s most exclusive destinations for superyachts. Visit the Principality on any given day, and you will have a superb display of luxurious vessels in the country’s scenic Port Hercules. But nothing can prepare you for the parade of superyachts in September, when the Monaco Yacht Show kicks off. You’ll be looking at $4 billion worth of boats in one place. The annual event brings over 120 luxury vessels and 560 exhibitors to the harbor. It’s a four-day show, filled with networking, quayside fun, and incomparable Monaco excellence. You can also visit the Monaco Yacht Summit, a gathering of the industry’s top leaders discussing the sustainable future of yachting. Whether you’re a boat enthusiast, an investor, a tourist, or looking for your next luxurious charter, the Monaco Yacht Show is the place to be. Here are all the details of attending the 2026 event.

Overview

The first Monaco Yacht Show was held in 1991. The French entrepreneur Maurice Cohen envisioned the event as a networking hub for superyacht brokers. It has since become the world’s most famous yachting industry gathering. 2026 marks the 34th edition of the show. Organizers expect over 30,000 attendees to visit the 40 acres of the iconic Port Hercules, the centrally-located deep-water marina of the Principality. The show is organized under the High Patronage of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Traditionally, the Monaco Yacht Show has been about seeing the big, beautiful superyachts. Size matters and size impresses at MYS. The average fleet length here is 50 meters. But the real stars of the show are the megayachts topping 100 meters. Builders like Benetti, Corsair Yachts, Amels, Feadship, and Admiral are expected to showcase their stunning vessels in Port Hercules in 2026. Such a fantastic line-up means pure excitement for visitors, who can experience the superyachts first-hand. The event is also a great chance to choose your next chartering boat for exploring the French Riviera and other European sailing destinations.

While the superyacht display is the most showstopping part of MYS, the show is also about immersing yourself in the vibrant Monaco yachting culture. The Principality’s tiny size makes exploring the many attractions easy. All the sophisticated hotels and world-class restaurants are near the Port. Similar to when the F1 Grand Prix takes place, the MYS transforms the Principality into one big yacht-obsessed playground. The quayside fun includes enjoying coffee breaks with a spectacular view of the superyachts, relaxing in high-end lounges, attending themed cocktail parties, and mingling with fellow yacht enthusiasts during the après-soirées at rooftop bars. All this makes the Monaco Yacht Show an unmissable event for people who love yachting.

What to Expect

Primarily, it’s the superyachts. The Monaco Yacht Show has always been Europe’s premier event for seeing the gargantuan ultra-luxurious vessels. The show isn’t a static showcase of boats. Bringing together investors, thought leaders, top builders, and maritime lifestyle brands in a stunning Mediterranean setting, it’s a celebration of the industry. In 2026, the MYS continues promoting sustainability in yachting with an increased focus on green technologies and environmentally friendly innovations.

Logistically, the Monaco Yacht Show is divided into several thematic zones. There are three general and two VIP entrances. Port Hercules is large, so be sure to check the map in advance and plan your visit.

Quai Antoine 1er entrance is where you find the Dockside area—a spectacular zone featuring over 120 superyachts on display. The list of the vessels for 2026 is yet to be announced. You can browse boats at the event’s official website

In 2025, the show featured such state-of-the-art superyachts as the 90-meter LUNA by Oceanco, Benetti’s 107-meter MAR, and Corsair Yachts’ 90-meter NERO. The Dockside area is also a place to meet captains, naval architects, and shipbuilders to learn more about the vessels.

The Adventure Area is another highlight of the MYS, where you find a great selection of leading water toy, tender, and luxury vehicle brands. If you own a superyacht or are planning to make fun additions to your chartered sail, this zone allows you to browse through the world’s most luxurious toys. The supercar showcase adds to the event’s exclusivity.

The Quai Chicane entrance is for the Sailing Yacht Area. The latest large boats from renowned builders like Ares Yachts, Ferretti, Vitters, and Nautor Swan will be on display. Another space to check is the Blue Wake exhibition, where eco-friendly yachting solutions are presented. The Yacht Design and Innovation Hub is for immersing yourself in the technological side of the industry, where you discover the latest trends and meet the top changemakers.

What to see in Monaco

One of the world’s smallest countries offers many beautiful sights to discover. The Monaco Yacht Show gives you a chance to combine the superyacht lifestyle with classic Mediterranean sightseeing. The Rock (or Le Rocher) is the cradle of the Principality’s history, where you can visit the spectacular Palais Princier de Monaco, the 19th-century Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate, and the scenic Jardins Saint-Martin. The neighborhood offers the best views of the yacht-dotted Port Hercules and the rocky mountains above Monaco.

On the opposite side of the marina is the iconic Monte-Carlo. It’s the epitome of the luxurious Monaco lifestyle, and the ultimate area for sophisticated living. Immediately recognizable from James Bond’s “Casino Royale” movie, the Casino de Monte-Carlo is a must-visit for sumptuous Beaux-Arts interiors. The 1879-built Opéra de Monte-Carlo nearby is the best idea for an unforgettable Monaco soirée. Metropole Shopping Monte-Carlo and One Monte-Carlo high-end boutiques make this neighborhood one of the world’s best for ultra-luxurious shopping.

September is also a good time to hit the beach. The Principality’s weather is still warm enough for sunbathing and swimming. Larvotto is Monaco’s main sandy stretch. It’s flanked by the country’s top beach clubs and seafood restaurants, such as La Note Bleue, Neptune, and La Rose des Vents. Larvotto will work great for enjoying a morning run before the show, or unwinding after superyacht overload with a cocktail in hand.

If you have more time to spend in the Principality, visit the Prince Rainier III-commissioned Princess Grace Japanese Garden alongside the Grimaldi Forum. F1 enthusiasts will be excited to see the iconic Fairmont Hairpin, William Grover Monument, and browse the Private Cars Collection of HSH Prince of Monaco. Families will have a blast at the Musée Océanographique de Monaco, which features over 450 Mediterranean and tropical species.

Dining Options

The tiny size of Monaco is an advantage when it comes to dining during the MYS. You’re always steps away from some of the world’s most exclusive restaurants and bars. That being said, the show organizers do provide a variety of options at the event. The Upper Deck Lounge—located at the Parvis Piscine entrance—features a gourmet restaurant run by the Fairmont Monte-Carlo hotel. If you’re coming for lunch, it’s best to reserve a spot in advance. There’s also a bar-lounge with alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. VIP visitors can enjoy the Sapphire lounge with a more exclusive take on the bar experience.

Apart from the lounges, you also have the Port Hercules-adjacent dining icons, such as Marius Restaurant serving Provençal and Monegasque cuisine, U Luvassu restaurant, known for seafood, and casual Le Nautic. One of Monaco’s most famous pubs, the Brasserie de Monaco, is also alongside the port. For drinks and the afterparty, visit the legendary F1 bar La Rascasse

More Things to Do in Monaco

The Monaco Yacht Show is set to be visited by over 30,000 participants in 2026. This means that prior planning is essential for enjoying a hassle-free visit. Check out the show’s map to get familiar with all venues. As the docks will be extremely busy during the event, make a list of the superyachts you want to visit.

Reservations are highly advised during high-profile events, such as the MYS. Tables in exclusive restaurants and lounges disappear at lightning speed. The same goes for the limited number of five-star hotels. Book everything months in advance for an exceptional Monaco experience.
