Marinas, Helipads, and Private Cays: Inside the Exumas’ New Ultra-Luxury Resorts
Floating helipads, world-class wellness, and fully-serviced marinas are found in the new generation of luxury resorts coming to the Exumas.
The Exumas in the Bahamas have long been sought-after for the archipelago’s gin-clear waters, secluded cays, and powdery white sand beaches. A celebrated luxury yacht charter destination, the region has also seen an increase in onshore developments, with multiple luxury hospitality brands expanding there. Here is a look into those and what we expect them to bring upon opening:

Aman’s Amancaya
The Aman Group, known for its understated luxury and tranquility with a strong ethos toward sustainability, is making its debut in the Bahamas with Aman Amancaya, meaning “peaceful island” in Taino. This will be the group’s third Caribbean resort, following Amanera in the Dominican Republic and Amanyara in Turks and Caicos.
Spanning 400 acres across two private cays in the Exumas, the $260 million development is being realized in partnership with Swiss philanthropist and investor Dona Dertarelli, with an anticipated opening in 2028.
The resort will feature 36 pavilions and fully serviced private residences, with 3-5 bedroom villas available for purchase. Residence owners will also enjoy full access to the hotel’s amenities, including the Aman Spa, Beach Club, and signature dining concepts.
Alongside resort developments, and across the pond, Aman has recently launched information on its luxury yacht debut, the Amangati—set to cruise the Mediterranean from spring 2027.

Rosewood Exuma
Also set to launch in 2028, Rosewood Exuma expands the hotel group’s Caribbean presence in partnership with Yntegra Group. The resort occupies 124 acres on a private island, featuring 33 suites, six dining outlets, a 20,000 square foot wellness sanctuary, outdoor sport facilities, a fully service beach club, and two marinas capable of accommodating visiting yachts and tenders.
Rosewood Exuma has also recently made a bold claim, introducing the resort to be equipped with the world’s first floating helipad, a 2,184-square-foot movable platform that can serve guests across multiple locations on the grounds. The group has also stated that sustainability is a priority, with solar energy integrated into the resort’s operations.

Bvlgari’s Cave Cay
Italian luxury fashion house Bvlgari is also entering the Bahamas luxury resort scene, bringing its design-driven approach to the Exumas with the Bvlgari Resort & Residences Cave Cay, set to open in 2029. In partnership with Marriott International, the project will expand the Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts Collection to 13 properties worldwide.
Situated on a 220-acre private island, the resort comprises 64 suites and 48 privately owned Bvlgari Mansions and estates, with restaurants, a spa, wellness facilities, and a full-service marina. The property is designed to combine high-end fashion with island living.
A Yachting Haven
The Exumas’ newest luxury resorts will continue to expand the Bahamian yachting experience. For yacht owners and guests to the Bahamas, these developments provide access to even more experiences offering moorings, dining opportunities, wellness, and activities, all set within secluded private islands.
