Today’s most extraordinary superyachts house full spa complexes rivalling the world’s finest land-based retreats, complete with cryotherapy, hammams, Japanese soaking pools, and everything in between. Here are three vessels setting the benchmark for wellness at sea.

Kismet
When Lürssen launched the 122-metre Kismet at the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, the superyacht world took note (and the wellness suite was no small part of the reason why). Described by her builder as “seven-star,” the spa aboard Kismet represents a new high-water mark for onboard wellbeing.
Designed by award-winning studio Reymond Langton, the Balinese-inspired spa is a masterclass in luxury. Guests can move between a cryotherapy chamber, a hammam, a sauna, an iced plunge pool, an ice-shaving station, and heated loungers. A private treatment room offers a massage table, a waterfall shower, and a chromotherapy bathtub.
The space’s centrepiece is a “steam fireplace” surrounded by natural elements, enclosed by glass panels that switch from clear to opaque at the touch of a button. Beyond the spa, Kismet completes her wellness offering with a state-of-the-art gym, a juice bar, and a dedicated yoga studio. This is not a yacht with a spa—this is a spa that happens to sail.

Flying Fox
Since her debut in 2019, the 136-metre Lürssen superyacht Flying Fox has ranked among the most coveted (and expensive) charter vessels in the world. Much of that reputation rests on her staggering wellness complex, which spans an entire two decks and sets benchmarks that competitors are still chasing.
The centrepiece is a 400-square-metre spa with direct sea access, heated limestone floors, and a spa pool capable of switching instantly between icy cold and steaming hot. But it’s the vessel’s pioneering credential that truly sets her apart: Flying Fox was the first yacht in the world to install an onboard cryosauna, bringing cutting-edge recovery technology from elite sports facilities straight to the ocean.
Complementing the spa is a fully equipped Technogym fitness centre, a 10-metre swimming pool, and an extensive toys programme. For charter guests accustomed to the very finest land-based wellness retreats, Flying Fox doesn’t ask them to compromise a single thing.

Sparta
Launched in 2025, Heesen’s 67-metre Sparta is the Dutch builder’s largest steel flagship, and her spa is one of the most thoughtfully designed wellness spaces on any yacht of her size. Penned by Winch Design, whose philosophy centres on connecting guests with nature, the entire vessel is structured around the elements of water, earth, and air.
Amidships on the lower deck, a 65-square-metre spa and gym layout punches well above its weight. At the heart of the space sits a Japanese-themed spa pool framed by circular wood panelling, set against dramatic jade-veined marble and elegant lighting—an atmosphere of contemplative calm that would feel at home in Kyoto. Completing the spa offering are a sauna, a mosaic-lined Turkish steam room with curved glass walls, and an experiential shower.
For owners and guests seeking a yacht that delivers true restorative wellness, not just facilities, she is among the most compelling new launches in recent memory.
