This 150-Night World Cruise Visits Every Continent — and Suites Are Already Selling Out
150 nights. 70 ports. 13 countries. 3 oceans: One ultra-luxury journey exploring some of the world’s most intriguing destinations.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises has sparked intrigue with its newly announced ambitious “Eras of Exploration 2029 World Cruise.” The 150-night journey onboard its Seven Seas Mariner ship promises something few itineraries can claim: a visit to all seven continents in a single journey.
Departing 6 January 2029, the cruise is set to cover more than 37,000 nautical miles, calling at 70 ports across 31 countries with 13 overnight stays. For a sector increasingly blurring the lines with the superyacht lifestyle, this cruise is positioned firmly at the ultra-luxury end for those looking for an immersive global experience.
The Upgraded Global Experience
The journey will take place on board the newly refurbished Seven Seas Mariner, an all-inclusive Regent vessel that accommodates up to 700 guests. But even with this capacity, when bookings open this April, if past world cruises are anything to go by, suites will likely get booked up fast.
Recent upgrades to the cruise ship have improved the suites, now featuring updated, marble bathrooms. The culinary aspect has also been taken up a notch with the redesigned Pool Grill featuring a pizzeria concept and a new Epicurean Enrichment Studio, where interactive storytelling and lectures bring cuisine to life for guests.
An Itinerary Following The Explorers
Billed not as your typical world cruise loop, the Seven Seas Mariner itinerary has been designed to reflect the “great arcs of human discovery,” tracing the footsteps of legendary explorers. Beginning in Miami, the journey goes through South America, into the Amazon River, and continues onwards to Antarctica.
From there, it will then head to French Polynesia, Australia, and through to Southeast Asia, with highlights including Bali and Thailand. The lengthy itinerary then continues through the Indian Ocean, calling at culturally rich spots like Petra, before moving through Dubai and into the Mediterranean, ending in Rome.
Along the way, guests will have access to up to 57 UNESCO World Heritage sites and more than 320 included shore excursions.
An Alternative To Yachting?
To secure your place on board, fares begin at $99,999 per guest for a Deluxe Veranda Suite, rising to up to $344,999 for the top-tier Signature Suite. And while nothing replaces the privacy and flexibility of yacht chartering, journeys like this highlight a shift in the ultra-luxury travel landscape for those looking for access and new ways to see the remote corners of the world in comfort.
