Aman Enters Yachting: Inside Its First Ultra-Luxe Mediterranean Yacht

Spring 2027 will see the ultra-luxury brand debut its first yacht with culture-rich, wellness-focused journeys.

The luxury hospitality brand known for its minimalist resorts in exclusive locations, the Aman Group, has announced further details of its debut into yachting. Translating to “peaceful motion,” the brand’s first ship, the Amangati, is set to welcome guests from spring 2027.

Amangati will introduce a series of curated Mediterranean itineraries that reflect Aman’s approach of slow travel, meaningful experiences, and refined design. The brand emphasises that the itineraries will explore routes where culture and architectural heritage will be the focus.

The Mediterranean Debut

The vessel’s inaugural season will feature Mediterranean cruises, with itineraries designed around destinations including the Dalmatian Coast, Italy, the Greek Islands, the Balearics, and the French Riviera. The trips are said to combine iconic spots with lesser-visited ports.

Highlighted journeys, ranging from five to eight nights and emphasizing late departures and overnights, include Palma de Mallorca to Nice, Corfu to Piraeus, and Naples to Salerno, among others. Selected itineraries coincide with major European summer events such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix. A standout feature will be a cruise through Venice’s Grand Canal, an experience unavailable to most vessels of Amangati’s scale.

An Aman Resort Feel

Currently under construction at T. Mariotti shipyard in Genoa, Italy, Amangati, designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, will feature nine decks. The 590’ (180m) yacht will accommodate just 94 guests across 47 suites, reinforcing a sense of exclusivity.

Suites will range from 68 to 354 square metres, and interiors are inspired by Japanese aesthetics, featuring clean lines, natural materials, and a calming palette, creating the atmosphere of an Aman resort rather than a traditional cruise ship.

Life On Board

True to Aman’s philosophy, wellness will be at the heart of the experience. Spanning two decks, Amangati’s wellness facilities are said to include the largest spa in its category, spanning approximately 1,190 square metres. Features of the spa include eight ocean-facing treatment rooms, a hammam, a fitness studio, a Japanese serenity garden, and a beauty lounge. There is also a 54’ (16m) swimming pool on board.

Multiple dining venues will offer a range of culinary experiences, with menus expected to reflect local influences from each region. Evenings on board can be centered on a jazz club, a cinema, and relaxed social spaces.

For time on the water, the Selora Marina and Lounge will serve as the yacht’s watersports and beach club hub, providing access to the sea alongside spaces for lounging. The yacht  will also host two heliports and six tenders.

Set Sail In 2027

Aman’s entry into the luxury cruise market positions it alongside other high-profile hospitality brands such as The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection and Four Seasons Yachts, highlighting the demand for an intimate, design-led alternative to the traditional cruise.
In addition to scheduled itineraries, Amangati will be available for private charters and group events. Reservations for Amangati’s maiden voyages are now open.
