The 237′ Superyacht With a Hyperbaric Chamber, Snow Shower, and Silent Mode
From hyperbaric chamber and snow shower to silent cruising, Project Ananda is designed for a next-gen owner, set to splash in 2030.
Dutch builder Heesen has lifted the lid on its plan for its largest steel superyacht to date, the impressive 237’ flagship known as Project Ananda. Set to begin construction this November, with delivery anticipated for 2030, the five-deck superyacht represents an exciting new chapter for the shipyard.
Not only a new flagship, 17’ longer than Heesen’s current largest steel yacht, Sparta, but this will be the first yacht developed under the shipyard’s refreshed direction following Laurens Last’s acquisition in 2024.
Named after the Sanskrit word for “inner joy,” Project Ananda is a highly customizable platform for those in the market seeking greater flexibility, privacy, and wellness-focused living.

Custom Yachting
At the heart of Project Ananda is Heesen’s Smart Custom platform, an approach designed to bridge the gap between a full-custom build and the efficiency of a proven engineering platform. Prospective owners can tailor key aspects of the yacht’s layout to suit individual lifestyles and family requirements.
Options include either a forward-facing private deck or an aft-facing owner’s suite with a private office and panoramic views. An additional owner’s cabin on the bridge deck caters to multigenerational cruising and extended-family use. The emphasis throughout is one of creating an apartment-like experience onboard.
Privacy & Flow
The project has been designed in collaboration with Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, whose signature vision merges sleek contemporary lines with carefully considered guest use. A key design principle is the privacy aspects.
The shipyard describes a layout that encourages fluid movements throughout the yacht while maintaining separation between owner, guest, and crew areas. Central to this is the glass elevator connecting guest accommodation, creating a seamless flow between spaces while preserving a sense of exclusivity and layered privacy.

Wellness-Focused
Project Ananda places wellness firmly at the heart of the onboard experience, with a long list of amenities that overshadows any token spa room. Instead of traditional teak finishes, the yacht incorporates travertine limestone throughout many exterior areas, including the striking travertine-lined swimming pool.
Multiple Jacuzzis—as shown in the renders—provide additional relaxation features, and a Teppanyaki-style bar is the perfect focal point for entertaining and socializing. Another particular standout feature is the yacht’s vast 1,100 square-foot spa and beach club setup. Designed as a dedicated wellness sanctuary, the area includes a sauna, steam room, ice bath, snow shower, massage, medical treatment room, and even a hyperbaric chamber.
Silent Cruising
Under the well-thought-out amenities and aesthetic is the technical ambition. Heesen has included a hybrid propulsion package combining a fuel-efficient hull design. The system can facilitate silent cruising for up to four hours, reducing noise and fuel consumption. This hybrid setup highlights the growing demand for more sustainable solutions without compromising on luxury or performance.
Heesen’s largest steel yacht to date, and a clear statement of where the shipyard is headed, Project Ananda is certainly one to keep an eye on as it takes shape over the next few years.
